Annabeth Chase- Annabeth is confused the last time she spoke to her mother , Athena, was in a dream and she wasn’t in the best of moods. It stills lingers inside her head from what her mother told her to do though. “ Follow the Mark of Athena into Rome and avenge!”, but Annabeth is afraid that this mission given to by her mother has more of an impact on the prophecy of seven than she thought.
Jason Grace- A son of Jupiter, Jason is born into the role of a leader because of who his father is. Very serious and dedicated to the mission Jason rarely ever talks about his feelings or his needs but rather put the quest itself and others before him. As a result Jason finds it hard to really express his feelings even to his girlfriend, Piper Mclean.
Percy Jackson- son of Poseidon, a natural born leader and always willing to risk his life for his friends, family, and even strangers, this is revealed to Percy as his fatal flaw. Unlike Jason Percy is carefree and tends to make jokes or snarky comments on any given moment. His appearance often gives him off as a rebel which he inherits from his father.

Take him out quickly and move to Ephialtes. Bronze and gold together- maybe that’ll keep them from reforming.” - Percy Jackson and Jason Grace
Theme Theme of this book has a lot to deal with love, trust, and building new alliances or friendships with people who are different from you. Its about not giving into your secrets and being secluded among your brethren, but to tell them everything in order to complete an impossible task. Also that you don’t have to do things alone, you can depend on others to help succeed. Because everyone knows seven is better then one.
